There will be a raffle, tombola and lucky entry prize, together with other attractions. Please come and support us. BLOOD DONOR SESSIONS Donating blood is easy.  However, it’s vital for patients in need of blood in accident and emergency situations, patients undergoing surgery and receiving  treatment for cancer and blood diseases, and women haemorrhaging in childbirth.  While overall blood use within the NHS has reduced, thanks to  improvements in clinical and surgical practices, hospitals and patients still rely on more than 7,000 people attending a donation session every day across  England and North Wales for the blood they need. Every donor can save or improve up to three lives every time they donate blood.  In general, as long as  you are fit and healthy, weigh over 7 stone 12 lbs (50kg) and are aged between 17 and 66 (up to 70 if you have given blood before) you should be able to  give blood. If you are over 70, you need to have given blood in the last two years to continue donating. Meet at 10.45 am outside the visitor centre. The walk starts at 11.00 am. A walk for health around the lovely RSPB Minsmere nature reserve, right by the sea, home to some of Suffolk’s greatest wildlife. Depending on the weather and walkers’ abilities and preferences, they will take a coastal, woodland, or reedbed route. This walk is buggy and wheelchair friendly. RSPB Minsmere has free electric wheelchairs, call 01728 648281 to book in advance. The visitor centre has a large car park, toilets, café and a shop.  During the Health Walk you'll get free access to the reserve, but normal entry fees apply at other times. No dogs are allowed, except assistance dogs kept on a short lead. Led by RSPB volunteers trained as Health Walk Leaders, in partnership with Stepping Out in Suffolk Health Walks The Magic of Minsmere - Weekend Walks : Saturday 5th July , Sunday 13th July , Saturday 19th July , Sunday 27th July  Start at 9.30am  (3 hours) The Magic of Minsmere - Weekday Walks - Tuesday 22nd July Start at 10.00am (2.5 hours) Never been to Minsmere then this is the walk for you. With more than 5300 recorded species and a wealth of history and archaeological highlights at Minsmere, there is so much to discover. Birdwatching for beginners : Wedensday 23rd July Start at 1.30pm (2.5 - 3 hours)  Come and learn how to identify fantastic birds that gather on the reserve at this time of the year.  The guides will take you through ll the steps for bird identification as well as showing you how to use binoculars and which field glasses are best for you.  No previous experience needed. If you like the outdoor life, and are looking for a way to keep active, have fun, and meet others, this is a great opportunity. REYDON AND DISTRICT COMMUNITY TRANSPORT  Did you know there is a community bus facility serving Southwold, Reydon and indeed the whole Blyth Valley area? It's called the Reydon and District Community Transport association, or RDCT. They have a self-drive minibus, with room for 15 passengers in addition to the driver. The bus is available for hire at very reasonable rates to any group or club of a social, sporting or other community-related nature. Even wheelchairs can be accommodated. The service runs from 9.40 am to 5.40 pm six days a week (no Tuesdays) on an hourly basis. This will connect the Reydon Health Centre, the York Road Surgery, Pier and Harbour all to public transport. Volunteer drivers are required for the service. REYDON VILLAGE WEBSITE A new website has been created for Reydon Village. This is a Parish Council initiative to give information about the village and all that’s going on in it. REYDON WI The Reydon Women’s Institute meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month at Reydon Village Hall at 2 pm. Come and see for yourself, meet some very friendly ladies and enjoy a cup of tea. New members are always welcome.
